Carol Ann Heck, 79, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH surrounded by her family.
Born on June 21, 1942, in Waynesburg, PA, a twin daughter of the late Preston Tilman and Rebecca Jane (Ingram) Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Tom Zimmerman who raised her; and her twin sister, Connie Geary; and her brother Tom Lewis.
She graduated in 1960 from Follansbee High School. She owned Carol’s Poodle Boutique out of her home for over 20 years and retired after 29 years with Mentor REM of WV, where she received their Ripple of Hope Award. She was Christian by faith.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Wallace Duane Heck at home; two children, Becky Raineri and husband, Rick of Follansbee, WV, and Douglas D. Heck and wife, Cristi of Woodstock, GA; her brother-in-law, Calvin Heck of Follansbee, WV; her sister-in-law Debbie Lewis Gast of Leavenworth, KS; five grandchildren, Ryan (Loralee) Raineri, Brittany (Jay) Lyonett, Victoria, Olivia, and Dawson Heck; three great-grandchildren, Rylee and Leena Raineri, and Maxton Lyonett; along with another great-granddaughter due this month; and several nieces and nephews, among them, Janet (Preston) Shultz, Karen (Tom) Freund, Jeffrey (Melissa) Geary, Kevin Heck, Michelle (Michael) Gossett, Tom (Cindy) Lewis, Tim (Bea) Lewis, Tear (Guy) Moore, Teresa (Steve) Noland, and Kathy Lewis McEndree; along with several great- nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Tuesday, September 7 from 4-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. with Larry Lemasters, minister, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery in Colliers, WV.
