A deep-drawling twanger who blasted off in the early 1990s with “You’ve Got to Stand for Something” will headline the third annual Bayfront Country Jam, Twin Ports Entertainment announced Monday.
Aaron Tippin, a solo artist whose “Kiss This” also ranks high among users of Spotify’s streaming services, is among a handful of artists scheduled to perform July 2 at Bayfront Festival Park. The lineup also includes the Nashville duo Thompson Square, Jake Rose and the local band Whiskey Trail.
The show starts at 5 p.m. and tickets start at $20 at bayfrontcountryjam.com.
Bayfront Country Jam’s lineup is among a stream of summer shows that have recently popped up, ranging from Drive-By Truckers at Big Top Chautauqua to Grandma’s Marathon’s shift to regional acts for its post-race celebration.
