Holly Willoughby shared a preview of today’s outfit (1 April) ahead of her last appearance on This Morning before Easter, which is also Phillip Schofield’s birthday.
The polka dot dress features wide, collar lapels and dainty button-up detailing, which gives the look a vintage feel.
The flowing puff sleeves are elbow length while the dress falls to just below the knee and there’s also a lightly cinched waistline, adding a little extra shape to the A-line number.
Known as the Gail dress, the piece is available from Reformation for £285 in polka dot print or ivory (although the ivory colour is currently sold out).
To emulate Holly’s style on the high street, you could try this button-up choice from M&S which is a very similar, with a classic shirt collar instead.
Boden’s Navy polka dot dress also has a vintage cut, but with a V-neckline and tied waist to achieve the same cinched effect.
H&M’s knee-length satin dress is a more relaxed shape with an elasticated waistline and simple tied neckline. The spotted pattern is also more subtle than the traditional bold polka dots.
This poplin dress from Monsoon features the same wide collar lapels as Holly’s vintage style choice, but in navy rather than black – and it’s in the sale (now £42, reduced from £60).
In the caption alongside her outfit, Holly promised that today’s This Morning would be extra special to celebrate Phil’s birthday and promised “there will be cake”.
The star also shared a picture of the birthday boy blowing out candles on a cake made by her three children; Harry, Belle and Chester, before the show began.
