Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is shouting out her favorite vacation destination of Hawaii in skimpy bikini bottoms, and she’s getting the thumbs-up for the photo. The 31-year-old former athlete, a known travel-lover, is based in Dallas, TX, but it was exotic island vibes in a recent Instagram share as the 2008 all-around champion honored her top-rated holiday spot.
Posting for her 1.1 million Instagram followers, Nastia sent out her Gold Medal body in a super-cute swim look – check it out below.

Scroll for the photo. Nastia has made travel headlines throughout the pandemic – first came multiple trips to her scenic Montana cabin, with more recent travels, of course, including Tokyo where Nastia was a prominent commentary and hosting face during the 2020 Olympics.
Snapped back to the camera and on a balcony overlooking greenery, the Pottery Barn partner stunned fans with her super-fit body, seen in red-and-white bikini bottoms with cute polka dots, plus a ribbed white crop top. The year-round tan was on show, with Liukin seen swishing her blonde hair around for a glam and very Intsagrammable finish.
“Hi hawaii, I miss you, that’s all,” the gymnast wrote. Quick to leave a like was 24-year-old gymnastics superstar Simone Biles, who follows Nastia’s Instagram and this year made headlines for calling her blue Tokyo outfit a “Tinkerbell one.”

Fans gushed over the snap, leaving Nastia heart and fire emoji, but it isn’t always easy-going when it comes to the blonde’s followers. In October 2020, they dragged the gymnast through a high-profile anorexia storm, one seeing Nastia fire back.
Turns out, Nastia comes with helpful travel tips, ones she opened up about when Black Tomato interviewed her about a China trip years after she won her Golds at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Revealing her must-have carry-on items, the gymnast dished:
“Definitely my makeup and my skincare products – everything that is travel sized obviously and one change of clothes in case your bags get lost and a blanket. I always travel with my own blanket. It’s just a sense of comfort and home – LA to NYC, cross country, and any flights outside of the country I always have it.”
