Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, stepped out together today for a Wimbledon match.
For their joint outing, Beatrice opted for a black-and-white polka-dot dress by Self-Portrait with puffed sleeves and oversized black sunglasses. The princess wore her hair in her signature blown-out style and was photographed cradling her growing baby bump throughout the match. Mozzi dressed dapperly for the occasion, wearing a navy blazer, black trousers, and vintage-inspired sunglasses. Beatrice’s aunt, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, joined the couple in the royal box for the tournament as well.
The couple’s Wimbledon date comes just a matter of weeks before the pair celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The two married in an intimate ceremony at Windsor Castle attended only by their closest family and friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their nuptials also marked one of the last public appearances from Beatrice’s grandfather, the late Prince Philip, who passed earlier this year.
In May, Beatrice and Mozzi announced that they were expecting their first child together. The baby will mark the second child for Mozzi, who has a five-year-old son from a previous relationship.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year,” an announcement from the palace read at the time. “The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
